Hotel Scalinata di Spagna Rome, Italy. We find this delightful, refined
pensione one of the most appealing in Rome. Its location, at the top of the The
Spanish Steps, is a commanding one and many of Rome's major monuments and best
shops are within easy walking distance. Visitors have the opportunity during all
seasons to enjoy breakfast that is served on the hotel's romantic glass-enclosed
rooftop terrace - from this height, views of the city are marvelous. All 16
recently renovated rooms in the hotel are bright and cheery; there is a Junior
Suite and two inter-connecting rooms suitable for families up to 6 people. Two
rooms have private balconies. In addition, each of the guestrooms have private
bathrooms, Internet (Web) TV, Minibar and individually controlled
air-conditioning. The hotel lift "elevator" service carries guests to the second
floor reception area; and for those who cannot exist without their laptops, the
hotel now has available "WiFi" - Hotspot - Internet and connectivity services.
Service at the hotel is superb, friendly and gracious. One recent visitor summed
