Description: |
Hotel La Trémoille, Paris France. Built in
1883, the Hotel
La Trémoille, through the years of fine renovations and
embellishments, gradually became today's intimate oasis of
tranquility and comfort. The site's original soul is still
alive today: famous for being one of the jewels in Paris'
realm of traditional deluxe hotels, has welcomed
personalities as famous as Louis Armstrong, Orson Welles and
Richard Gere. The building facade, in 19th century style and
listed as an historical monument, has been restored to its
original splendor. Inside, a decidedly contemporary style
predominates, even though some of the 93 rooms and suites
still proudly display the original ceiling moldings and
marble fireplaces. Some rooms are duplex, others have
private balconies or bow windows that offer splendid views
of Paris' rooftops in the "Golden Triangle" Quarter. With 31
different decorating themes used in the 93 rooms and suites,
room decoration is a cornucopia of creativity. Unique in
Paris: each room is equipped with "the hatch", an individual
silent butler closet next to the room door, with keyed hall
access for room service, housekeeping staff and room access
for guests. The hotel's restaurant and bar Senso,
under the direction of Chef Frédéric Duca, offers two decors
in a warm and contemporary atmosphere combined with French
gastronomy that celebrates a multitude of Southern France
flavors and fragrances. Finally, the Spa of La Trémoille
is open to hotel guests and members by appointment from
10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and includes Cardio-training center,
Sauna, Hydro-Jet shower, 2 private massage and beauty care
rooms.
