The Luna Hotel Baglioni is Venice’s oldest hotel The hotel is an
authentic museum, with its frescoes of the famous Venetian
painter Tiepolo that adorn the magnificent Marco Polo drawing
Room, where our guests can taste every morning a delicious
buffet breakfast, its unique collection original of
eighteenth-century furniture, the crystal chandeliers. In the
days of the Templars, the hotel was known as the Locanda della
Luna (“The Moonlight Tavern”) and would offer travellers a
comfortable shelter. Now, more than eight centuries after, it is
still committed to the same cause: the Luna Hotel Baglioni
carries on a tradition made of class, comfort and refined
elegance. A tradition of welcoming that has spanned eight
hundred years: the Luna Hotel Baglioni dates back to the 12th
century and is the oldest and most exclusive hotel in the whole
of the Serenissima. The Hotel has sumptuous guest rooms
decorated in true Venetian style. The Luna Hotel Baglioni has
three meeting rooms all equipped with state of the art
technology which between them, can accommodate from 30 to 170
people. Guests of the hotel breakfast in the spectacular Marco
Polo Hall which is decorated throughout with original frescoes
attributed to pupils of Giambattista Tiepolo. It is a fabulous
setting for conferences, banquets, parties, musical events and
receptions. The Canova Restaurant, which has won several
prestigious awards, can accommodate up to 65 people: an intimate
restaurant where you can enjoy delicious regional dishes from
the Veneto along with superb traditional Italian cooking
